Organic Pet Food

To look at what makes a quality product you must start at the basics and that is farming in particular farming that has sustained us for centuries in the past.
The term “ organic” is used often today in describing a product however the addition of one word lets us know that it is of a higher quality due to an inspection process which renders a product to be called certified organic .
The USDA can certify a farm or growing facility to ensure they comply with standards here in the United States and in other countries and qualifying for this designation may take a few years for a farmer.
Organic agriculture dates back to the old days of farming before the advent of chemicals, additives, and processing of farm soil. Organic farming enhances a healthy environment by revitalizing stripped soils and nurtures soil quality for optimum production of our foods. Crop rotation, recycling organic matter, tilling the soil and adding minerals all is techniques used in organic farming.
Paul Newman’s Own Organic Pet Foods:
I always liked Paul Newman not only is he the best-looking man on the planet he also is a generous thinking man. All profits from his food operations go to charities not to a few large profit oriented corporations. That is incredible currently to know that when you buy superior organic foods, it is also helping needy children and thousands of charity organizations to the tune of 200 million dollars.
The Hole in the Wall Camp he established gives children with cancer and other deadly diseases a summer camp at no charge, which has expanded into the UK, France and Ireland. The Organic Dog food products branch donates to animal shelters, and pet rescue centers across the country.
Dog Food Wellness:
Newman’s line of dog and cat foods contain the following:
Natural Chicken raised without hormone or antibiotics feed on an all-vegetable diet, which adds amino acids and enzymes to the meat.
Organic Soy Meal which is low fat, bio available and contains omega 3 oils for a health coat.
Organic Barley grown with out the use of pesticides and chemicals has a range of vitamins, iron, biotin, which is great for pet fur, and powerful anti-oxidants as well as fiber.
Organic Flax Seed Meal is rich in omegas, aminos and minerals with lignans a phytonutrient to prevent cancer.
Organic Oats again grown without synthetic material adds B vitamins, fiber and complex carbohydrates to help maintain healthy pets.
Fresh Parsley helps to calm intestinal activity and helps absorption while stopping gastric odors and doggy breath is also an ingredient in Newmans Own Organic Pet food.
Organic peas and carrots, sorghum that adds micronutrients and iron are all in the food.
Sea salt which has more trace minerals than regular salt also kelp which contains iodine to prevent thyroid diseases. Probiotics and I know than may people do not know what that means, therefore a short description is that it is the friendly bacteria in the gut to improve the elimination of toxins, its all good and not found in regular commercial dog food. Taurine, which is an essential amino acid, helps the nerves and heart of cats, and Cocker spaniels and golden retrievers. These ingredients on a dog food rating system would score high on the list for your choices in a good dog food.Organic foods are the natural balanced dog foods that promote your dog’s health not damaging it with harmful additives. The organic cat foods available also are of the highest quality available for optimum cat health. Fresh caught ocean fish cannot be found in regular or low grade cat foods.
It makes more economic sense to buy the best organic pet foods available for your furry friend, than it would cost to buy a low grade pet food and have to pay for poor pet health in the future.
Plus the tremendous costs in veterinarian bills when your pet’s health is at great risk with a low nutrition diet. You will save a mini fortune in the process and your pets will abound in health and vitality.

I feed my dogs Paul Newmans organic dog food and they just love it. It disappears in their bowls faster than you can shake a stick and they don’t leave anything behind. It must be good if they love it so much. I wouldn’t feed my dogs any off that crap on the store shelves, made with dead animal’s carcasses. They might as well put plain old garbage in the food. The pet food industry has been changing what dogs really need and taken it all out of the food.
Good writing.
Hi Teri: I am using organic meats and grind up chicken, turkey and beef and cook it with vegetables and my dog loves it. Should I be adding some rice or a carb into the mix, my dog Robo just eats this up and sure uses the calories up - he is very energetic.
thanks for the information and I will wait for your answer.
