As we wind down this year we can all agree our own health and that of our pet needs more attention.
We can and will do better in the coming year to protect our dog or cat’s health and to inform ourselves
rather than rely on some treatments that may not be effective. Actually a good combination of veterinarian care and natural remedies seems to be the most effective route.
As a fellow pet lover and a natural health enthusiast I have had years of learning about nutritious and healthy foods or supplements to support the immune system both for myself and my dog. I wish to share this information with you and you can contact me at any time with your questions or dog health problems or any issues you need help to overcome.
The key to a healthy dog is to support your dog or pet’s immune system, the natural defense mechanism that every living creature possesses to cure and heal the body is immeasurable both in human and pet dog health.
As we know people take vitamins for a reason, and that is to boost their health levels and also to prevent aging or disease. By giving your dog a supplement you are ensuring it will continue to have a healthy and a longer life.
Alternative health supplementation is gaining not only in popularity but also in preventing serious diseases in the animal health field. As your Pet dog’s health relies on you, the information you gain will increase your chances of a very low veterinarian bill and a happier pet.
As a dog ages -its ability to prevent illness becomes lessened especially in the functions of vital organs such as the liver. The liver function is most important since it rids the body of toxins, both in water and foods so they do not pollute the whole body’s system. The immune builders in supplements will naturally assist the liver in this function which is diminished with age, and make the liver’s job easier.
Also as your dog ages they are more susceptible to arthritis and with some breeds this can be an expected occurrence. By supplementing your dog with natural anti-inflammatory you can give your dog improved ease of movement, reduces their stiffness, and reduces their pain while detoxing the acid buildup which is associated with arthritis.
By using natural supplements you are ensuring your pet will not become lame, or irritable as it ages as well you will increase its ability to exercise which in turn helps to prevent further damage to their joints.
For Cats also supplementation will reduce swelling and tenderness in their spine, and thickening of their joints which cause great pain. what cat owner wants a cat that will be in pain and suffers from arthritis with no real improvement.
To actually know that you can reverse the damage to your pet’s joints and rebuild cartilage is a truly remarkable feat - and yes it can be accomplished for very little cost to you. Rather than expensive drugs which treat the symptoms of arthritis, you can actually reverse the damage to bone joints and restore your pet’s ability to be mobile and free from pain.
I cannot stress enough that the bones in an animal are the most important component to their bodies, this is the basic structure of any animal and it must be protected from the aging process as much as possible.
Other treatments include exercising in fresh air, a balanced low fat diet, and limiting snacks that contain harmful ingredients which aggravate arthritis and reduce the immune function.
I have written many articles on Pet Food Labels, and Pet food itself and to read more please refer to the right hand column to read more about what not to buy and what to look for in a pet food.
My resolution for the new year is to take stock of Whoopie’ s general health, review her diet, and see if there is room for improvement. I am looking forward to more exercising with my dog, as we do yoga together and more runs in the park.
In the process I am looking forward to another healthy year for both my dog and myself.
