Hi Denise:
It is so true about kids and dogs they are truly wonderful growing up together and learning about life. I often remember looking back at my own childhood and the joy that pets brought to me, and taught me about life. Dogs and cats give unconditionally, if you are sad or mad as a child, a cat or dog is always of great comfort to children. Your nephew and his black Lab I am sure you could write a book about their relationship, there is no stronger bond that with a pet for a child. Thanks for the reminder and your comments.

I have so many wonderful memories of my nephew and my black lab. They grew up together and had an amazing bound. My nephew had a bit of a difficult family life so the stability of this dog was wonderful in his life.

Children and dogs can be the best of friends if they are both trained ;) at the same time. Great article! Denise
