Hi Marilyn:
Thank you for your comments and Jesse will have another toy on its way to you. Its good to be aware that the labels on a product can say they are made in the USA or Canada as long as they are packaged here in North America, even though they are products of China and other countires.
I always get a clue by asking the store- where the company is and I research their history. But even that is a question of concern as more imports are coming in - that we do not have standards for, or inspect the products for dangerous paints and materials. Its very much a concern for parents of kids and pet owners.
I believe it is up to our governments to create and inspection agency with more controls much like in European countries which have very high standards. I only buy products I can verify that are made here and use local products is often a good way to protect your pets. Thanks again for entering the contest, these toys are definitely made in the USA and by a woman who started her own company to produce safe toys.

Jesse is sooooo excited about winning the tug toy. I thought these tug toys looked so great that I ordered one for my new weimeriner puppy. The key here is made in USA. I will not buy anthing for my dogs that is made in China! If I get something that is made in China, I send it back. I have found that some products that say they are a product of USA are actually made in China. The explaination I received from one vender was that the are just "packaged" in China. Do I believe them - No. How can they do this? Does not seem right to me.
