Commercial dog food is generally made for profit and not for your dog because it contains diseased and chemically treated animal by products. No matter how the pretty packaging looks or the billions spent on advertising – these are not healthy foods. Commercial dog food contains: by -products. Dog food or cat food by products include items I would not feed my dog.

LESS PROCESSED PET FOODS IS BEST:

The less a food is processed the more nutrition, vitamins and enzymes that are absorbed and are essential for a healthy dog or cat. Pet foods contain damaging preservatives some that are illegal in food for humans. Dogs that eat preservatives are more susceptible to cancer, diabetes and arthritis.
FEED YOUR DOG WHOLESOME PET FOOD:
A pet if you do have one is for its lifetime not until it gets sick and then needs more serious attention. Holistic Dog foods are far superior and a raw diet is the best for providing nutrition, vitamins and vital enzymes for your dog or cat.

 QUALITY HOMEMADE PET FOOD:
Balanced homemade dog food consists of 40 percent meat, 30 percent veggies, and 30 percent starch to ensure proper nutrition. A mixture of ground beef, turkey chicken lightly steamed, some cooked brown rice, brewers yeast, and lightly steamed carrots or peas is desirable. Rotate between turkey, been, chicken and fish to avoid a boring diet. Add garlic powder for keeping the fleas away as well as viruses and dog flu. Rotate the vegetables such as: broccoli, carrots, peas, green beans, potato, collard greens, steamed pumpkin, squash, parsley, Alf alpha sprouts, and zucchini.

  brown rice
READ THE LABELS:
Look for words like: chicken by product, chicken meal, meat by products, gluten, preservatives such as BHA and make better choices.
Look for and buy “certified organic, or human grade, and 100 percent GMO-free and not words just the like natural or healthy which are often used by commercial pet food manufacturers. You actually have to read the label very carefully and question your pet store.
