A Dog’s Health at Risk Pesticides in Pet Flea Products

Go to a great site called All About Labradors for the best post on the actual facts of the ingredients used in over the counter Pet Flea and tick products that contain pesticides.  This is really important information for all dog owners before you buy- you should know the real truth.

Information that I am about to reveal is vital if you want to keep your dog healthy and avoid it’s untimely death or injury due to the strength of the pesticides in pet products pertaining to flea and tick control.

The Center for Public Integrity a site that I subscribe to reports a large number of dogs are being injured or died as a result of these pesticides and it makes reasonable sense that this information should not be censored or subject to criticism from the manufacturers of this product.  I will not repeat what is in these links but I urge you to click on these links and learn what is not being told to you personally as a pet owner I would want to know everything that composes a product I buy. These days it is what you don’t know and are not being told by the EPA that are supposedly protecting your interests.  If you also go to Natural News there is a plethora of documented product listed that are approved by the FDA, which you know have already been recalled or have deadly side effects for people. Same thing for dogs.

Why Pyrethroid is Deadly:

You really need to explore the strength of the amount of Pyrethroid in Flea and Tick Pet products because this chemical is a pesticide for the mosquitos that carry the West Nile Virus.  Yes that is all well and good but the amount of this chemical is great than the concentrations allowed for humans, and is a whopping 13 percent stronger for dogs.

This means your dog is getting a stronger dose than a human being, and the added chemical Piperonyl Butoxide acts as an agent which keeps it in your dog’s bloodstream even longer. This increases the amount of chemical you are subjecting your dog to which increases the amount of toxicity. Pets are indeed dying because of the inaccurate and dangerous application of pesticides in flea and tick products sold over the counter and  25,000 pets have died already.
