Symptoms of Dog Food Allergies
1) Scratching and sores.
2)Vomiting and indigestion.
3) Hives and itching all over.
4) Fatigue and tired looking.
5) Diarrhea and runny stools.
6) Gas and intestinal gurggling.
To Stop Your Pet’s Allergies
1) Stop feeding your dog what you are feeding it.
2) Switch to an organic only brand and make sure it is certified organic from a reputable company.

The best probiotics is either yogurt or lactobacillus acidophilus tablet -same as what people take -can be given to a dog that is suffering from diarrhea, which depletes the dog’s body of the friendly bacteria which digests food. Friendly bacteria in probiotics is the beneficial part of the dog’s flora and fauna or intestinal environment that helps the dog digest and remove waste.
The best probiotics are the organics of course with no chemical additives that are harmful. The probiotic advantage is that it will balance the dog’s gut and digestive system and bring it back to normal while replenishing the friendly bacteria which is so important to a healthy dog. A probiotic bacteria yogurt can refresh the gut, reduce symptoms and pain and clean out the bad stuff so to speak.
Pet probiotics works for cats too as cats get feline vomiting and also have food allergies when throwing up their food. Today’s pet foods contain Genetically Modified Foods or GMO’s including corn, soy and some other ingredients in the commercial pet food industry -anything goes into pet foods. Since there are no regulations against harmful ingredients, you will stress out your pet feeding these foods to them. Especially the dog liver which functions as the garbage cleaner as it cleanses the blood of harmful chemicals. When the dog consistently digests bad dog food the dog’s liver is overtaxed and overburdened which in the lifetime of a dog is difficult to repair.

They say you are what you eat, and after you have seen the pictures in this video you will think twice about buying cheap dog food or even premium commercial dog food. This is for real, and no amount of packaging, or ads can make this any nicer to watch.
The truth is commercial pet foods have added sawdust and well any refuse they can find -is in dog food. In the USA there are no regulations for pet food, therefore they can put in sand and it would be still called dog food.
Road Kill in Your Dog Food
You may want to read this article from a year ago, things have not changed drastically since the pet food poisoning of 2007, dog food still contains the four D’s. See : Premium Dog Foods Hidden Dangers.
We don’t even have standards for human foods nor inspections from foreign ingredients which have poisoned our food supply. Just like the peanut butter scandal – there are no laws in this country. Only in America do corporations get away with this type of greed and total disregard for your pet’s health.
You can bet that President Obama will not be feeding his dog this food, the dog’s organic all the way.

I am just reading a blog where a guy is telling us that he is taking his dog off of organic food for a brand name food that you buy at Wal Mart. I doubt he knows the economic sense that does not make. Cheap dog food will save you a few dollars but if you give up a latte or a cup of coffee at Dunkin Doughnuts….you will have saved as much.
In the long run if you take away your dog’s best chance at keeping healthy -you will be paying much more at the vets office.
If you plan on giving your dog less nutrition -plan on a misguided concept on dog food.
Don’t cheat your pet for a few bucks, give him / her the omegas, the antioxidants and the vitamins with nutritious foods now – or pay up later.

Some dog foods cause problems for your dog’s teeth and even the most harmless looking treat can create a high pet health bill. Almost 90 percent of our dogs are eating processed foods, which have changed over the years. By the time a dog is 4 years old they already show signs of a build up of tartar and some staining.
Where is this coming from? I remember when I was a child, the butcher’s scraps and raw meat bones would be allocated to the local pets in our town. They would chew them for hours and apparently they were very potent in vitamins and minerals. Bones are not only a dog’s favorite thing to chew on, but also provides more essential nutrients, vitamins and minerals in a natural way, since dogs love to chew on them especially if they are raw. I remember the old saying “ Give a Dog a Bone” which apparently still holds true today. Not only do bones provide hours of enjoyment but they serve a purpose in cleaning teeth, massaging the gum areas, exercising jaw muscles and help to stimulate the immune system.
Today’s modern day pet owners are much more discerning of the type of products they buy for there pets, especially dog treats. The assortment of products today may pose heath problems especially with the materials used in these products. Some products are bacteria laden by products of the human food industries, that are made into dog treats. These often are preserved by toxic chemicals such as BHT, and other preservatives.
Brittle dog bones, such as those made from rawhide can also break apart and the small bits can cause an obstructions. Also dog’s can completely break a tooth on the hard rawhide type products. While some may claim these products are safe, our standards are changing rapidly in this industry. Dog chew products made from beef jerky treats, smoked pigs ears, smoked hooves and similar products must be checked for production handling and ensure their safety.
Our own human food chain has evolved, with the modern, up to date trends of consumers demanding more “natural” products and less handling in the system. One has only to look at our grocery stores, and see the world ” organic” popping up on all the shelves, including free range chicken, organic hormone free beef, and naturally grown labels to appease the consumer. So this is trickling into the pet food industry, to insure proper health and optimize nutritional content of dog foods.
Raw bones can be given to your dog, for they can be digested quite easily. If you look back a couple of hundred years, there weren’t many choices other than raw bones. Today pet owners have choices and can buy organic products. Organic bones can be found at your local organic product store, or farms. Check in your area to find farms and meat producers, and purchase raw bones for those added vitamins and minerals to ensure your dog’s health and enjoyment.
Other alternative products that are derived from organic production will also be safer. Not only will your dog be happy, but also healthy and your pet healthcare costs will be reduced dramatically.
